I grew up very poor. Food stamps and government cheese. The taste of government cheese is memorable, to say the least, and it really is not that bad. My father had a terminal illness and suffered everyday. He passed away when I was in my late teens. During the years of suffering he would say the following "Make something of yourself, get an education, you live in a place that gives you the opportunity have a better life". He said it over and over.
The other day I was finishing up a project and one of the clowns that I work with (most are not - he is) started yawning. One after the other. Here I am busting my tail and I keep hearing this "awwww" sound. Annoying as anything in this world. Later he starts complaining about our business and how wrong things are. What did he do that day, nothing but yawn and complain.

I want this, it comes out is 2 weeks. Imagine carrying this around (3 pounds) rather than the MacBook (5 pounds). This is about half the weight, close. Going to wait in line at the Applestore, might even camp out the night before just to be one of the first people to hold it. Exciting times for Jeff Yulinda.
This is absolutely the best thing that has ever been made!
Steve Jobs has really done an excellent job to bring to the world something that is easy to use and has the computer user in mind. Work should be fun, and working with anything other than an iMac is just not fun for me. It is boring. With the iMac things look better, they feel better and this makes work fun for me. Get a podcast playing and I am good to go for hours! There is nothing better than working. Thank you Steve Jobs for making my life better!

For me, I like to get up at 5:30am every morning. No exceptions. The saying "the early bird catches the worm" is true and has helped me improve my quality of life. There is something about waking up early, before the sun rises, taking a hot shower, eating a healthy breakfast with eggs and oatmeal (vanilla yogurt and frozen blueberries) and a nice strong cup of coffee without sugar. This all takes about a half an hour, so at 6:00 am I am ready to produce. My stomach feels good, my energy is high, and I know that I have an edge on all the other people out there slacking.
So from 6:00am to about 3:00pm I am super productive. I can get more done in those 9 hours than most do in 20 hours. I do have another cup of coffee at 10:00am, my girlfriend's mom lives in Mexico and grows and roasts her own beans, that is why I drink so much, it is real coffee. And I take a 1/2 hour lunch break from 11:00-11:30.
If you are reading this and you get up early and produce, that is great. If not, I highly recommend it.
Cut back on waste and focus on the things that bring you closer to your goals. This brings great joy and pleasure and fulfillment out of life.
